On December 19, 2008 27 year old climate activist Tim DeChristopher entered an illegal auction of public land in Utah. Tim outbid oil and gas companies with no means to pay the bids, disrupting the auction and ultimately protecting the land from destruction. He is now serving 2 years in a federal prison.

“Those who are inspired to follow my actions are those who understand that we are on a path toward catastrophic consequences of climate change. They know their future, and the future of their loved ones, is on the line...
